RDA Events
As well as regular riding sessions the RDA also organises non-riding activities for the enjoyment of our riders and their friends from the various institutions. These events include:
Summer Picnic
Each year, just before the summer break, we entertain our riders and their Carers with a picnic in the shade at Happy Valley. This is usually timed to coincide with the visit of a military band from the UK to add to the fun of the occasion.
Akrotiri Boat Trip
For several years the 417 Maritime Troop RLC have kindly treated our riders and their Carers to a boat trip in Limassol Bay.
Christmas Party
Each Christmas the RDA organises a party in the Episkopi Garrison Sergeants’ Mess, with music and entertainment for the children and adults from the various organisations. Father Christmas is on hand to give each guest a present.
Easter Eggs
At Easter the pupils at Episkopi Primary School kindly prepare Easter Eggs and come to Happy Valley to present one to each of our riders.
