The RDA Horses
The RDA currently owns and maintains 7 horses and ponies, which are all stabled at the Episkopi Saddle Club. They are used by the club as well as by loan owners outside RDA hours.
Christopher Robin
is a Grey Welsh Section B aged 21 and 12.1h
Chrissie joined us in April 1999. He has a chronic pulmonary condition but with correct medication and care he is fit to carry out normal Saddle Club duties. He can be quite stubborn and is a typical bossy pony! Chrissie is a great favourite with all children and can often be seen competing at local shows in the junior events.

Peggy Sue
is a Liver Chestnut Welsh Cross aged 16 and 12.2h
Peggy also joined us in April 1999 and is our feisty little mare! She is a real character and again a great favourite with the younger members of the Saddle Club and the RDA. Peggy also competes in the local shows in junior dressage, show jumping and cross country events.

Ginger
is a Chestnut and aged approximately 25 – 27. He is 14h
Ginger joined us in June 2001 and is the ‘grand old man’ of RDA! He came from Jordan as a polo pony, and stayed on. He is a perfect gentleman and a marvellous teacher. To our knowledge he has won the All Island Horse Show Junior Event twice. Due to his advancing age, and a bad accident a few years ago, he no longer jumps but remains one of the most popular ponies in the yard.

Mallard
is a Chestnut ex race horse aged 21 and 16h
Mallard joined us in February 2005. He came from a yard in Paphos where he had been giving occasional rides to disabled tourists. He is the biggest horse that we own, but has a very gentle nature. He was bought for us by Janet & Ian Darroch of Mallard Financial Services.
Cullen
is a Cob Grey aged approximately 24 – 25 and 14.3 h
Cullen joined us in June 2005. He is our weight carrier and has quite a strong character. Beneath it all he is a real sweetie who loves a fuss and lots of treats. Cullen has been trained to pull a cart and recently won a rosette competing in a dressage event.

Pandora
is a Liver Chestnut Arab/Appaloosa Cross Aged 9 and 14.2h
Pandora joined us in October 2006 and is a special child. She has never put a foot wrong since coming to us and seems to instinctively know what is needed from her. Being a typical mare she has the boys running after her, and is very much in charge in the paddock! Pandora has been competing at various levels in local shows.

Stroller
is a Dark Bay of unknown breed. He is aged 10 and 14.1h
Stroller joined us in August 2008 and is ‘the new kid on the block’. He has had little experience before joining us so we are bringing him along quietly and expect to reap the rewards soon. Stroller is such a willing chap and really wants to please. He has competed successfully in a couple of shows recently.
